MGM Grand Spa & Health Club Review

(Click on the picture to enter my current giveaway)

During our stay at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, my husband surprised me with a day at the spa while he watched our daughter.  I decided to go with the Classic Favorites Package.  That package consisted of the following: Classic Swedish Massage, Classic Spa Pedicure, and Classic European Facial.  Each session was 50 minutes long.  I wish that I could have taken pictures of the facility for you, but pictures were not allowed since ladies were free to roam around unclothed.

In the facility, there was a fitness center, hair salon, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, restrooms, showers, and vanity room.  All of which you could use that entire day with your spa pass.  They also provided robes to wear.  I loved the feel of their robes, but they were a bit heavy and long on me.  It seemed like they only had one standard size for everyone, so for me my robe went down to me feet.

My first session was the massage.  When I saw that I had a masseur, I was a bit shocked and nervous especially since I told the receptionist I preferred a female.  But he was very professional and gave a great massage.  I was scared to tell my husband he was male, but he just laughed and told me it was okay.  *I am so glad we are not the jealous types*  The one thing I was really looking forward too was massaging my legs and feet since they were killing me with all the walking I did on the strip.  The entire session was great but once he put hot towels on my feet I wanted to scream because it was a bit too hot to my liking.

The second treatment was my pedicure.  The Asian lady was very nice and talkative.  I do not usually like to talk a lot during my pedicures, but it was just us two alone in a small room so it would have been awkward  if we kept silent.  Although she was sweet; honestly, I think the price was ridiculous.

The color I choose was red since the hubby loves Ohio State.  I did not want to take a picture because I personally hate the way feet looks, but I had to share.  But there is no shame on my blog.

Lastly, I received my facial.  I was way overdue for one.  The lady was great.  The one treatment I looked forward to was getting rid of my blackheads.  I had a lot on my nose, which always made me self-conscious.  Once she started to take those out I wanted to scream!  I forgot what a painful process it was.  I literally teared up the entire time.  I had to keep reminding myself that nothing is as painful as child birth so I kept quiet and sucked it up.  For my facial, I was just expecting her to work on my face but she also gave me mini massages on my feet, arms and hands, which was nice.

After facial.  My red, but now clean nose.

This is a list of items she used on my face.  She also included Walmart's address because I asked where it was.  Haha.

Overall, I had a great experience at the spa.  There was great customer service, the rooms had a soothing atmosphere, and each room were individual.  The only con was the expensive price tag, but I had a great and relaxing time.
