EOTD: Colorful Eye with BH Palette

As many of you know, I recently won the BH Cosmetics 120 1st Edition Palette.  A few of you requested to see some EOTDs based on this palette so I managed to do one look tonight.  I figured I should do a colorful so you can see more than just three colors.  I really love these eyeshadows.

The only product I used that wasn't from the palette was my Anastasia Brow Powder.  Also, if you guys look at my other FOTD/EOTDs, I tend to use purple a lot..  I promise to do a look without purple next time.

What color(s) would you like my next EOTD to be?

Sephora: Urban Decay 24/7 Swatches and Samples

Yesterday, my girl friend really wanted to go to Sephora because she did some research on a few products that had great reviews and supposedly will do wonders with her skin.  While she was busy talking to one of the workers, I decided to play around with the Urban Decay Glide-On 24/7 Pencils.  I keep hearing amazing things about them so I wanted to see what all the hype was about for myself.  I decided to swatch ALL of their pencils at the display.  LOL.  I am sure they thought I was crazy but I just wanted to test the products out.  ;)

Are they really the best pencils on the planet?!

24/7 Eye Pencils ($18 each) from L to R: Zero, Oil Slick, Yeyo, Gunmetal, Burbon, Whiskey, Underground, 1999, Lucky, Mildew, El Dorado, Electric, (Can't remember), Stash, Graffiti, Flipside, Binge, Deviant, Crash, Lust, Ransom, and Rockstar.

Aren't they pretty?  I liked the colored ones.  As for the browns and black they seemed mediocre to me.

24/7 Shadow Pencils ($20 each) from L to R: Sin, Lit, Midnight Cowboy, Narc, Clinic, Clash, Morphine, Delinquent, Rehab, Mercury, Wasteland, Barracuda

I loved the names especially Delinquent.  And the colors were all amazing.  I would purchase all of these if I could.

By the time I was finally done swatching, my girl friend also finished up.  When I saw her, she had three samples in her hand.  It never dawned on me that you could ask for samples of the products!  Isn't that genius?  I am pretty sure MAC does not do this so it gave Sephora brownie points in my book.  That way you do not have to commit to just one full-size bottle of a certain item and can actually see which would work best on your skin first.

The three items she got are (L to R) Benefit Cosmetics' The POREfessional, Makeup Forever HD Foundation, and Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer #6.

So the beauty tip for today: ALWAYS ASK FOR SAMPLES (at Sephora or any other beauty store that offers this service)

Have you tried the UD 24/7 pencils?  Which do you have?

Did you ever ask for samples at Sephora?  Would you?  Or do you prefer just buying the actual product and returning it if you didn't like it?

Waikiki Forever 21

Today one of my best girl friends and I headed to Waikiki to check out the newest and biggest Forever 21 store on the island.  It's an amazing 3 storied store with the hugest selection of outfits I have every seen.

Forever 21 is located at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in between Bebe and the Cheesecake Factory.

This is one of the two entrances on the first floor.  I was not allowed to take pictures inside so I will give a little description of each floor.  The first floor was the smallest, which just had a few of their accessories, sandals and some bathing suits.  The second floor was the biggest.  It had majority of the casual tops, rompers, a few dresses, jeans/shorts/denims and even MORE accessories and sandals.  Lastly, on the third floor seemed to be more dresses/formal wear.

Even though I could not take pictures in the store, I figured the fitting room would be okay.  Here are just three items I decided to try on.  I never seem to go with the current clothing trend(s) just because once that trend is over who knows when I will wear that piece of clothing again.  So I like to go with solid color clothes.  I know it is a bit boring, but that is just me.

Item #1: A cute beige spaghetti strap.  I really liked it, but even though it was a small it still seemed big and loose on me.  It also reminded me too much of a maternity top.

Item #2: A denim jumpsuit.  I LOVED this so I ended up buying it.  I ended up returning the other denim jumpsuit I bought in a previous post because it did not look that great on me.  However, this did AND it was more affordable.

Item #3: Whenever I try on clothes I always get a cute dress for fun especially since I almost never get a chance to wear these type of dresses outside.  It made me feel like I was back in high school ready to go to prom.  Haha.

Have you bought any new clothes lately? Do you like to try things just for fun too?

BH Cosmetics 120 Palette Swatches and Comparison

I just received my first BH Cosmetics palette yesterday and could not wait to show you all what the colors look like.  I am very pleased with this.  I currently own the ELF 100 palette (click here for post), but in my humble opinion, I say this palette surpasses my ELF palette.  Almost all of the colors are very pigmented and goes on beautifully.  Whereas with my ELF palette I had some problems with a few of the eyeshadows showing up.  If you don't own this, I highly recommend it especially since it probably has all the eyeshadow colors you could possibly want.

Now without further ado, I give you the swatches of my BH Cosmetics 120 1st edition palette.
The swatches are done by rows from top to bottom.  They are all taken without flash and were applied without any primer.  (Note my skin is NC30).

BH Cosmetics 120 Palette: My first giveaway winning!

Hey everyone!  A few weeks ago, I found out that I had won Sara Hassan's 1st blog anniversary giveaway, which was sponsored by BH Cosmetics.  The prize was a 120 1st edition palette.

I was so excited to see this in the mail today especially since it's my first time ever winning a giveaway!  I couldn't wait to open it.

I loved how the palette was carefully wrapped with a lot of bubble wraps to protect the eyeshadows.

There were even more bubble wraps after I took the palette out of it's box.

Aren't the colors beautiful?  This was taken in natural lighting.  I promise to do swatches soon.  Now I can honestly say that I have all the eyeshadows I need for a good few years now.  Haha.

Do you own any BH Cosmetics palettes?  How do you like them?
