What's Your Halloween Costume?

Tomorrow is finally Halloween!  Are you all excited? I wish it was not on a Monday though.  But oh wells.  What will you all be for Halloween this year?  I doubt I will dress up, but I already have my daughter's costume ready, which I will share with all of you in a bit.  First, I wanted to share some past costumes that my daughter and myself wore.

This was a long time ago when I was still an undergraduate student.  I did not feel like going all out so I did something simple and bought cat ears, a collar, and tail.  I bought this at Pricebusters.

About two years ago, I wanted to dress up as a flapper.  Sexy, eh?  Haha.  I absolutely loved the fringe dress because it looked so fun when I danced in it.  For this costume, I got it at Hot Topic.

For my daughter, my husband called her his princess so I thought it would be appropriate to buy her a princess costume.  On the costume is says "I don't have my prince yet.. but for now I have my Daddy."  I believe she was just about a week old in this picture

This year my daughter will be a condiment.  It is actually perfect especially since we will be celebrating in Hawaii and it is a very popular condiment here.  I am not sure if all of you are familiar with it but she will be an Aloha Soy Sauce.  I am very proud of this costume just because I sewed everything on.  My first DIY costume.

If you love making costumes, you can look into information on costume design classes as part of degree programs from accredited online schools at Guide to Online Schools

I hope you all have a great Halloween!

MAC Posh Paradise Treasure Hunt Paint Pot

Today my friend and I took a little field trip to the biggest mall on the island, which is Ala Moana Center.  We told ourselves that we would not buy anything, however, that did not last very long.  I walked into MAC and saw that they had one Treasure Hunt Paint Pot from the Posh Paradise Collection left.  I figured that it would be a great item to include in my upcoming birthday giveaway.

Treasure Hunt is a beautiful pale yellow-gold shade.

I really wanted to swatch this item for all of you so the MAC worker was kind enough to provide me with a sample of the product!  Even though it is not a full-size jar, I guess I can finally say that I own a MAC Paint Pot!  It is not much but a little goes a long way so I am one happy customer.

Have any of you tried a paint pot from the MAC Posh Paradise Collection?

MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Swatches

I was going through my makeup collection the other day and realized that I have never swatched any of my MAC Electroflash Mineralize Eyeshadows!  *gasp*  So here they are.  This collection actually came out in Fall 2008.  I absolutely love these eyeshadows.  The only con is that they have quite a bit of fallout.

L-R: Pink Split, Play on Plums, Odd Couple, Sea & Sky, Fresh Green Mix

*Please note: Swatches were done with no primer, applied with my finger, and is on NC30 skin.*

EOTD: Inglot

I felt like playing around with my new eyeshadows so these are just some looks I did.  I absolutely LOVE the yellow, red and green.  It is amazing how pigmented they are.  As for the black, it is nice, but you cannot really see the sparkle in it.  And the blue was my biggest disappointment.  It had a LOT of fallout and I had to really pack it on.

A look I did in my Inglot Post.
Used: AMC 64 and D.S. 474

Used: AMC 64, Shine 13, AMC 58, and D.S. 474

NOTW: Bloody Nails

Since it is October, you all know that there will be a lot of Halloween posts!  My nails for this week is "bloody nails."  Nothing really original, but I thought it would be fun to do.

It was a bit messy and sloppy but that is blood for you.

Have you done any Halloween themed nails so far?

Neutrogena Wave Sonic Review

A few weeks ago, I had won Piinkcupcakezs Neutrogena Giveaway.  Of the prizes was a Neutrogena Wave Sonic.  This power cleanser is said to clean 50x better than ordinary cleansing.  I am not sure if it is 50x better but it does beat the old way I use to cleanse my face.  It is battery operated and comes with 14 foaming pads.  It keeps my face feeling smooth and soft.  If you are looking for an affordable cleaning tool, I highly recommend it.

Project Bag & Wallet Ban Update

Many of you know that I did a major haul in Las Vegas and bought myself a new bag.  Well, with that bag, I had to do an update on my Project Bag & Wallet Ban.  Click on this to refer to my old post about the project.  For the ban, I told myself I would not buy any new bags or wallets until I wore out the one I currently own.  I felt horrible after I bought my Balenciaga, BUT on our trip one of my bag straps broke so now I do not feel as bad.

Bye bye purse!

Hello beautiful!

I am very excited to now be the owner of a Balenciaga handbag.  <3

Inglot Review and Swatches

You can never have too much makeup!  With that said, I decided to take advantage of the Inglot store in Vegas.  I did not go all out, but wanted something small and sweet.

I have no idea why some eyeshadows were in a box and others were not.

Beautiful!

I love how pigmented the colors are.  They are absolutely beautiful.  My favorite is AMC 50, AMC 58 and D.S. 474.  <3  There was some fallout, but I do not mind.
