Affordable Beauty Tricks!

Here are a few interesting tricks I learned in class today.

  • VASELINE: There's a lot uses for this product.  You could use it as a gloss on your lips, put it on the eyes for a "wet-look" or even use it to create a "sweaty" look all over your body.  This could also be used on your teeth so they stay glossy and hydrated during a photo shoot.  It could also be used on dry chapped lips, hands, etc.
  • ASPIRIN: This is usually great for aches and pains, but did you know it could also heal acne and blemishes?  Aspirin contains Salicylic, which is a Beta-Hydroxy acid which is commonly used in acne treatments.  All you need to do is take one capsule, crush it with a spoon, add a little water, then put on the places you have acne.
  • ROSEBUD SALVE: Maybe it's just me, but I'm not familiar with this item.  However, it is said that it could also be used as a gloss on your lips or for you dry chapped skin.
  • ROGAINE: This intrigued me the most, but I'm too scared to try it.  Are you guilty of over-tweezing your eyebrows that there's no more hair in a certain area?  Supposedly if you add little Rogaine on your brow, it should bring those hairs back..

Lmao, I'm gonna do Rogaine and you can fix my eyebrows for me ;] And yeah, I've heard of the Aspirin from Chemistry class. Lol, it sheds the skin on cells that it needs to be relieved from the pain but Idk why they would use salicylic acid for your insides. Haha,

my mom felt that the hair on top of her head was thinning so she used womens rogaine. Well apparently it didn't agree with her b/c she ended up with a LOT of extra peach fuzz on her face lol. It went away when she stopped using it :P

Rosebud salve is the best. I always have it in my purse :)

I've used rosebud salve but I'm not the hugest fan. I have dry skin and it just kinda feels greasy on it. But a lot of other people swear by it.
