Rimmel Scandeleyes Mascara Review by: Sidrah (MakeupMew)

Hello Everyone!

I’m so excited to be doing this review here for Dinah. I will be reviewing a mascara that’s been quite popular in Europe and Middle East from Rimmel London. Lately the brand has been releasing a few Scandalous makeup products from gel liners to mascaras. The Rimmel Scandeleyes Mascara promises a Supersize formula with Triple collagen and keratin formula that plumps even the thinnest lashes, I must say that’s a lot of promises. So what were my results?

What Rimmel Says:
It’s time to get involved in a scandal. And this time, it’s massive. Introducing ScandalEyes, our first big brush mascara that quickly reveals even shy, unnoticeable lashes in one simple stroke! Our MaxDensity™ brush is 50% larger, covering the whole lash line to capture each and every lash. Lash Out Loud! 12x more volume and scandalous eye opening impact! No clumps.

Packaging:
The huge orange tube won’t be difficult to find in your makeup kit. The mascara comes with a gigantic brush, seriously this is the size of my eye! I’m not a fan of this sort of brush since it’s so huge, it leaves my inner corner lashes without any product. If you have larger eye, this brush would be perfect for you. The massive brush has a few gaps so it sticks my lashes together.

Application:
Applying the mascara with such a huge brush is a bigger hassle when you’ve already applied your makeup. With my swatch, you can tell that the mascara smudges all over my lash line.

My Experience:
I never fall into huge claims from mascaras, larger than life lashes…yea right! I am very picky about mascara. For me, I suffer from straight droopy lashes, which is difficult to curl and a bigger challenge to keep it curled all day. This mascara was a miss for me for many reasons. The brush is massive, it’s difficult to work with on my small eyes and ends up sticking my lashes together. The product gets smudged all over my lash line. The formula is similar to Maybelline’s Falsies Mascara, it’s wet and you really need a small amount of the product which ends up only lengthening your lashes and doesn’t give any volume. The wet formula doesn’t help to keep my lashes curled.

Recommended For: Those who have long and naturally curled lashes, this will work for you. If you don’t have any trouble with wet formulas or large brushes.

Pros-
·      Lengthens Lashes

Cons-
·      Wet Formula
·      Sticks Lashes Together
·      Massive Brush Smudges all over eyes
·      Brush difficult to use
·      Doesn’t volumize lashes
·      Brush doesn’t coat inner lashes

Overall: A huge brush that smudges mascara all over my small eyes, don’t recommend it!
